From Ricky Hurley, Planning Director for the Town of Woodfin:
The Town has contracted with CodeWright Planners to provide assistance with the development of a new land development code, which includes zoning, subdivision, lighting, and signs.  Our consultant team wants to understand the challenges our local regulations may create with developing property or opening a business in Woodfin, things such as the process, outdated standards, missing or lacking environmental protections, barriers to advertising/signage, use of words that are difficult to understand or conflict with other sections, and etc.   We feel it is extremely important to include business owners and commercial property owners who have interacted with our development regulations over the years.  Your feedback is critical in our understanding the experience of our customer.

The meeting will take place in-person at the Town Hall and encourage you to be there.  However, I will include a MS Teams meeting link in the invitation for those who wish to participate but are unable to attend in-person due to other constraints.  The Town will be posting a project page on our website to keep the public informed as this project moves forward over the next 16 months.  We will be posting future opportunities for public engagement, status updates, reports, and eventually a draft of the proposed land development code with zoning map.
